ُُElements of the public national army in southern Algeria arrested 27 smugglers and 21 illegal migrants, said a statement issued by the national defense ministry on Sunday.

The army elements nabbed them and seized a truck, two vehicles , 13 metal-detection devices and foodstuff as part of securing the borders and fighting crime, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, another seven illegitimate migrants were nabbed in northwestern Algeria.
