The security forces seized 287 firearms and busted 33 fugitives and reported 179 drug-related crimes during security crackdowns across Egypt over the past 24 hours.

During the campaign, up to 100 unlicensed arms were seized while a workshop used for manufacturing guns was closed. 

Also, 314 motorcycles were held by police over violations and a stolen car was found and restored to its owner.

The seized guns included 17 machine weapons, 14 pistols, 46 local-made guns and 169 bullets.
