Twenty-nine terrorists were killed over the past 11 days in security campaigns in El Arish, Sheikh Zwaid and Rafah cities of North Sinai , said Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir on Saturday.

He added that 27 wanted criminals and 106 terror suspects were arrested in the crackdown.

Seven bombs were dismantled, 34 unlicensed vehicles and 96 unlicensed motorbikes used by terrorists to attack security forces were destroyed, he noted.

The campaigns are part of the ongoing efforts to restore security in the peninsula.
