As many as 295 Egyptians returned home from Libya over the past 24 hours via Salloum border crossing, according to Matrouh security chief Hisham Lotfi on Thursday.
Out of the 295, 234 Egyptians entered and left Libya with valid papers, while the rest illegally entered the North African nation.
Meantime, departure procedures for 751 passengers, including 170 Egyptians and 581 Libyans were finalized.
Egypt exerts utmost efforts to control its borders with war-torn Libya to prevent smuggling and illegal migration.
