The Saudi Samta city came under a shell attack that left three residents dead and 28 more wounded, including four Saudis.

The shells were fired from Yemen toward Samta in southwestern Saudi Arabia, the civil defense department tweeted on Friday.

The southern areas of Saudi Arabia have been witnessing attacks on the border with Yemen by Houthi militants and supporters of former Yemeni president Ali Saleh.
