Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir said on Monday that three armed terrorists were killed and 53 suspects were arrested during the army's campaigns in North Sinai over five days.
The killed terrorists include a dangerous element called Hussein Salman Mohamed Awda Abu Helow.
The campaigns, launched during the period between 14 till 18 January, resulted in damaging the gathering areas of those terrorists where 1,625 bullets, military uniforms and 46 plateless motorcycles were found there.
As many as six openings of tunnels were destroyed including a 1,200-meter length tunnel.
