Three policemen were injured when three bombs ripped through two power towers in Banha, causing their collapse.

Qalubiya Security Director General Abdel Azim Nasreldin said he received a report on the explosion of two power towers in Gamgara village in Banha and ordered sappers to move to the scene to comb the area.

He made it clear that security forces cordoned off the scene and combed the area when other explosives went off leaving three personnel injured.

The explosion caused a power outage in the surroundings of the reported area and electricity teams are working to fix it, said a source at Qalubiya electricity authority.
