Thirty members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested over violence charges.
They are accused of inciting violence and rioting, as well as staging violent protests police said.
They were arrested in Behira, Suez and Fayyoum governorates.
In 2013, an Egyptian court blacklisted the Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and banned all its activities in the country.
