As many as 315 Egyptians returned home from Libya over the past 24 hours via Salloum border crossing, according to Matrouh security chief Hisham Lotfi on Sunday.
Out of the 315, 196 Egyptians entered and left Libya with valid papers, while the rest illegally entered the North African nation.
Meantime, departure procedures for 702 passengers, including 180 Egyptians and 522 Libyans were finalized.
Egypt exerts utmost efforts to control its borders with war-torn Libya to prevent smuggling and illegal migration.
