Libya via Salloum border

A total of 366 Egyptians returned home from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours, according to Matrouh Security Chief Hisham Lotfy.

As many as 243 of them returned legally, while 123 Egyptians came back illegally, Lotfy said in statements on Saturday.

The security official ordered the arrival measures of the returnees to be swiftly finalized.

Libya has been witnessing a rising insurgency by different rebel groups and militias and an increasing use of weapons since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011.

The attacks included the killing and injury of Egyptians working there across different parts of the country.
