As many as 39 supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested on Saturday over charges of implicating in attacking police stations and provoking riots nationwide.
The arrested are wanted for their suspected involvement in attacking police stations and instigating violence nationwide, a security source said.
They were nabbed in provinces of Cairo, Menoufiya, Giza, Daqahliya, Sharqiya, Beni Suef, Aswan, Alexandria, North Sinai, Minya, Beheira, and Kafr el-Sheikh.
All the suspects were referred to prosecution for more interrogations.
