Four passengers were arrested late Wednesday at Cairo Airport over attempt to smuggle money.

Any passenger is allowed to leave Cairo Airport with maximum 10,000 dollars or an equivalent amount of money of any currency.

A security source said the four passengers, three Egyptians and one Turkish, were to leave for Istanbul and Dubai with money exceeding the allowed limits.

Investigations are underway with the detainees
