Four people were arrested in Beheira Governorate, northern Egypt, over charges of detonating a bomb near Damanhur police station on Tuesday.

The arrests were made hours after the explosion.

The blast coincided with the trial of deposed president Mohamed Morsi and other terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) defendants over espionage and jailbreak.

It resulted in smashing shop fronts and cars.

No casualties were reported.
