A landmine exploded Thursday in Suez, leaving four people injured.

The exploded landmine is a remnant of war, Suez Security Chief Maj. Gen. Mostafa Shehata said.

Sappers have been deployed to search for any remnant explosives.

Ambulances carried the injured to hospital, Shehata added.
