Egypt has pardoned 40 prisoners in Beheira governorate on the occasion of the January 25 revolution anniversary and the Police Day.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had issued a pardon for some prisoners days ago.

The inmates, released from Damnhour General Prison, chanted "long live Egypt" and expressed their happiness over the pardon.
