As many as 42 militants of the terrorist Daesh group were killed on Friday in military operations by the Iraqi army and the international coalition.

A security source in Kirkuk announced that 17 Daesh elements were killed in an aerial bombing by the international coalition southwest of the province.

The international coalition warplanes bombed arms depots in Daesh sites in Rashad and areas around Hawija, 55 km southwest of Kirkuk.

Other 25 Daesh elements were killed in military operations by the Iraqi army in Anbar.
