A Suez criminal court slapped three-year prison terms to 44 Muslim Brotherhood defendants over violence incitement charges.

The defendants participated in violent protests in mid-2014 and incited violence against citizens, the police and army, investigations revealed.

The defendants include 30 ones tried in absentia.
