As many as 454 Egyptians have come back from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours, said Matrouh Security Chief el Anany Hamouda on Thursday.

In press statements, Hamouda underlined that 65 of the returnees had illegally crossed the border.

Hamouda said he ordered their arrival measures to be swiftly finalized.

Clashes erupted in Libya since the overthrow and death of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
