Forty-seven middle-ranking leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested over the past 24 hours as part of intensive security measures to nab terror elements and restore order and security across the nation.
The arrests were made over their involvement in attacks against public and private institutions and violence incitement across Egypt.
In a related context, the security bodies rounded up nineteen members of operations committees affiliated to the MB terrorist group in Alexandria and Sharqiya.
All legal procedures were taken against the terror elements and the prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
