Yemen Airways said on Monday that 48 Yemenis stranded in Cairo have been moved to Saudi Arabia en route to their country.

As many as 5,809 Yemenis have been airlifted to their country so far on board 34 flights, an official with the company at Cairo International Airport said.

Monday's flight took off from Cairo International Airport to the Saudi Bisha Airport, then to Sanaa Airport, the official said.
