Paralympic games heroes installed on Tuesday a 5-kilometer Egyptian flag at the New Suez Canal to be opposite to the ceremony's main platform.

The swimmers chanted "long live Egypt" as they stretched the flag along the canal.

The swimmers were happy to get into the waters of the New Suez Canal for first time and said that this is the least they can do for their nation.

Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish attended the event and hailed the swimmers' participation in preparation for the canal's inauguration ceremony.
