Five policemen were arrested for four days pending a probe after a Luxor citizen died in a police station.

Thus, the number of policemen arrested in the case rises to nine after four other policemen were seized earlier over the demise of Talaat Shabeeb in a Luxor police station.

Shabeeb was arrested and died later in the day due to a spinal cord damage that caused his death.

A forensic medicine report showed Shabeeb died due to strikes on the neck and back that caused damage to the spinal cord and death.
