Five people were on Sunday referred to the State Security Court on charges of promoting and seeking to join an armed terrorist group, according to the charge sheet.
The court's prosecution general said the trial of the five, who face charges of attempting to join and propagate the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), will start according to the legal procedures.
The charges include using the Internet to disseminate the terrorist ideology of the ISIS, also known as Daesh, and seeking recruitment with the extremist organisation outside Jordan "in breach of the anti-terror law and its amendments."
