The national security sector arrested five takfiri elements from Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis, Ajnad Misr and Jundallah on Thursday.
The arrestees confessed that they committed a number of terrorist crimes by using explosive charges in several areas.
Security bodies are continuing campaigns to arrest terrorist elements and foil their schemes, said Interior Ministry Spokesman Hani Abdel Latif.
