As many as 52 supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood were arrested in Minya Province over staging protests without taking the necessary security permissions.
The arrested face charges of organizing illegal demonstrations and instigating violence in the province.
In December, an Egyptian court labelled the Muslim Brotherhood group a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide.
