Fifty-two Egyptians deported from Italy over illegal residence in the country arrived at Cairo International Airport on Thursday.

The deportees arrived on board an Egyptian plane coming from Catania, under tight security measures, the director of the passport department at the airport Ashraf Reda said.

They were referred to the bodies concerned to have their security and legal status checked.
