The Iraqi joint forces have killed 53 militants of the terrorist Daesh group in the provinces of Salahuddin and Kirkuk, northern Iraq, local and security sources said.

Thirteen militants were killed in Baiji, in Salahuddin, the sources said.

Forty militants will killed in a security operation in the district of al Hawija in Kirkuk, the sources noted.

Twelve cars belonging to the group were also destroyed in the operation.
