Rafah - MENA
As many 537 passengers crossed the Egypt-Gaza Rafah terminal on Monday after the Egyptian authorities agreed to reopen the crossing from only one direction to allow the return of stranded Palestinians to the Gaza Strip, an official source at the terminal said.
Among the passengers were 104 deported from Arab and foreign countries.
Egypt had closed the terminal in the aftermath of a terror attack in North Sinai on October 24 that left several army men killed and injured. It now reopens the terminal occasionally to allow stranded Palestinians return home.
