Six supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested Thursday in Qena governorate over instigating violence.
They face charges of inciting violence, provoking riots against the country's institutions and joining an outlawed organization.
In December 2013, an Egyptian court labeled the Muslim Brotherhood group a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide.
