Cairo Criminal Court sentenced six defendants in absentia over charges of committing violent acts and attacking the premises of Ghad al Thawra Party.

Earlier, the Public Prosecution referred the defendants to trial and five of the defendants were released and one defendant is now on the run.

The prosecution accused them of possessing weapons, committing violent act, damaging establishments and property of Ghad al Thawra Party.
