Jordanian Border Guards

Jordanian Border Guards received over the past 48 hours 618 Syrian refugees from different ages seeking a safe haven, according to Petra News Agency.
The Royal Medical Services personnel stationed along the Jordanian-Syrian border administered first aid to the patient refugees before taking them to refugee camps.
In addition to their duties, border guards work to protect the borders and also prevent infiltration and smuggling operations.
According to official figures, there are about 1.4 million Syrian refugees in Jordan, and 20 percent of them live in camps. The rest are in cities and towns across the country.
