Assistant Interior Minister Major General Hisham Lotfi said that 647 Egyptians returned home coming from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours.

In statements on Wednesday, the Marsa Matrouh security chief added that of the 647 Egyptians, 479 had entered Libya legally, while the remaining 168 entered illegally.

He added that 665 persons; 238 Egyptians and 427 Libyans, passed into Libya through the Salloum crossing.
