Seven Iraqis and three insurgents of Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) were killed on Saturday in separate violent incidents in the city of Mosul of Nineveh province in North Iraq.A number of unknown armed men opened fire on a man, who teaches at a local university, near his resident in the town of new Mosul in western Nineveh, killing him immediately, a Nineveh police source told KUNA, adding that another group of armed men opened fire on two policemen while they were off duty, killing them in the town of Al-Shura, northern Mosul.It also indicated that a soldier was killed by unknown insurgents at a military checkpoint in Baladiyat town, northern Mosul, pointing out that another soldier was killed by an attack conducted by unknown armed men at a military checkpoint in Hai town in western Mosul.The source said that a booby-trapped tanker, driven by a suicide bomber, exploded at a bridge in southwest of Mosul, killing two civilians, wounding two policemen, and demolishing parts of the bridge, which is a strategic bridge that links Mosul and Salah Ad-Deen provinces.In addition, the source explained that a police force of the Directorate of Nineveh province clashed with members of ISIS at a checkpoint in Al-Shura, killing three members of the organization. It noted that the police force has conducted a preliminary operation at Mosul's center, which resulted in the arrest of four members of ISIS.
