Seven people were killed and two others wounded when a four-floor apartment building fell apart in he Sahel neighborhood of Shoubra late on Saturday.

Constructions carried out by the owner are believed to be behind the collapse, said director of the civil service Gamal Halwa in statements to MENA.

Rescuers are exerting utmost efforts to recover a woman trapped under the rubble while search for other survivors is still going on.
