Seven terrorists were killed in a four-day security campaign in North Sinai governorate, Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir said on Tuesday.
As many as 15 other perpetrators of attacks on security personnel were also arrested in the crackdowns, according to the spokesman.
He added that two tunnels on the border with the Gaza Strip, 16 terrorist hideouts and seven plate-less vehicles were destroyed by the troops.
The servicemen foiled an illegal immigration attempt by 58 people, the spokesman concluded.
