Seven Takfiris were killed and 13 suspects were arrested in a crackdown in North Sinai on Tuesday.

The campaign targeted terrorist hotbeds in Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah cities.

A number of hotbeds used by terrorists to launch attacks on army and security forces were destroyed during the security operation.

The army, in coordination with police, is intensifying operations in the Sinai peninsula after terrorist attacks on security checkpoints that left at least 17 security personnel dead.
