As many as 725 terrorists have been killed in military campaigns in North Sinai over the past six months.

Military spokesman Brigadier Mohamed Samir said on Saturday the terrorists were killed in the campaigns that started on October 25, 2014 through April 30, 2015.

Also, 1,873 suspects and 206 wanted persons have been arrested, Samir said.

He added that 1,823 hotbeds of terrorists have been destroyed, as well as 591 vehicles and 1,447 motorcycles that terrorists used in attacking army and police troops.

Huge quantities of heavy and light weapons have also been seized, Samir added.
