Matrouh Security Director General El Anani Hamouda said 787 Egyptians returned home from Libya via Saloum border crossing over the past 24 hours.
In statements on Monday, Hamouda said 264 of the returnees infiltrated illegally into Libya across the borders.
The security official ordered the travel measures to be finalized swiftly.
