Five police guards, two prosecution drivers and a civilian were injured in the terror attack that targeted the motorcade of Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat, who died of wounds, near the Military Academy’s walls in eastern Cairo, the Health Ministry said.

All the injured are in stable condition, the ministry said.

Barakat died of internal hemorrhage in the abdomen, it added.
