The Menya Criminal Court has sentenced eight terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members to death and 83 others to life imprisonment over riots in Samalout, Menya.

It also sentenced 14 for 15 years in jail, eight others to 10 years and one for five years in prison.

Five were found not guilty.

The 119 defendants faced charges of setting ablaze a police station and Assiut Court, stealing arms and ammunition, destroying public property, and premeditated murder of two policemen and a sentry.
