Assistant Interior Minister Major General Hisham Lotfi said that 818 Egyptians returned home coming from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours.

In statements on Monday, the Marsa Matrouh security chief added that of the 818 Egyptians, 577 had entered Libya legally, while the remaining 241 entered illegally.

He added that 700 persons; 260 Egyptians and 440 Libyans, passed into Libya through the Salloum crossing.
