As many as 819 people crossed the Rafah terminal between Egypt and the Gaza Strip on Saturday, on the first day of its opening.

About 573 people arrived in Egypt from the strip, while 246 left for the opposite direction.

Also, 75 trucks carrying Qatari-aid of construction materials were allowed to cross for Gaza.

Egypt opened Rafah crossing on Saturday for three days to allow the crossing of stranded people and humanitarian cases from both sides and the entry of aid to Gaza.
