Nearly 85 percent of the Egyptians said they back the air raids on Daesh strongholds in Libya, eight percent said they oppose and two percent they are undecisive.
The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) conducted a public opinion poll about the Egyptian airstrikes on the terrorists' positions in Libya on Monday just following the strikes.
The results of the poll indicate that the percentage of those who back the airstrikes was 79 percent in Lower Egypt to 86 percent in Upper Egypt and 91 percent in urban governorates.
Nearly 82 percent of young people, in the age group 18-29 years, supported striking terrorists' positions in Libya. About 90 percent of those aged 50 years or above also backed the strikes.
On Monday, the Egyptian Air Forces staged airstrikes against Daesh positions in Libya in retaliation for the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians.
