One person was killed and eight others were injured a pile-up that involved four cars on Banha- Qanater road in Qalyubia, north of Cairo, on Wednesday.
A security source said the collision was caused by a microbus driver who lost control of the steering wheel.
The prosecution was notified to start a probe into the accident.
