Nine people, including three Germans, have been sentenced to five years in prison for looting one of the Great Pyramids in Giza.
The defendants were convicted Tuesday of stealing an ancient cartouche that was later spirited out of the country.
The painted cartouche was placed in a small compartment above Pharaoh Khufu's (Cheops) burial chamber in one of the three Great Pyramids in Giza.
