Nine bodies were recovered from the six-storey building which collapsed in Sharqia's town of Minya El Qamh, a senior officer said on Wednesday.

Three people were injured in the collapse, said Hatem al Hudaibi, senior officer at Minya El Qamh police station.

Rescue teams are still recovering the derbies from the scene.

A security cordon has been set up around the collapsed building until lifting the debris.
