Cairo - MENA
The Arab League's Economic and Social Council warped up its 95th session in Cairo on Thursday.
The two-day meetings discussed the implementation of the resolutions issued by the Council during previous meeting, the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone, pan-Arab customs union, and boosting investments in Arab countries.
Relations with international economic blocs, the unification of Arab building codes and a pan-Arab agreement on maritime transport were also tackled.
The meeting also touched on the development of the Arab joint action in the socio-economic fields and issues that will be addressed at the next Arab summit, scheduled for March 2015 in Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh City, and the Arab summit on Development, to take place in Tunis later in 2015.
