Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi canceled all posts of the president and the prime minister's deputies, Sky News Arabia quoted Iraqi media sources as saying on Sunday.

Abadi directed to decrease the number of security personnel assigned to protect officials.

He also directed a committee to investigate in previous and current corruption files.

Earlier, Iraq's top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al Sistani directed Abadi to take tougher measures against corruption and name politicians standing in the way of reform.
