Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas asserted on Sunday that any solution to the Palestinian cause must be durable and based on a two-state existence.

In statements during a meeting with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Abbas reiterated that the Israeli occupation should be halted.

All related problems will disappear if the occupation is brought to an end, Abbas was quoted by WAFA news agency as saying.
