Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas slammed on Friday the terror attacks that struck North Sinai last night and left dozens of military men and civilians dead and injured.
In his speech at the opening session of the African Summit, now held in Ethiopia, Abbas announced his support for Egypt's efforts to wipe out terrorism.
He offered condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the families of slain servicemen and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Speaking about the African Summit, Abbas said it will tackle a number of critical issues, atop of which is security, peace and terror-fighting.
He also hailed the African supportive stance of the Palestinian cause.
Meanwhile, Abbas condemned Israel for its determination to continue building more settlements on the Palestinian territories.
